Here are three easy ways to assign jobs in Field Complete

The power of Field Complete originates from the flexibility of your workflow. Essentially, your company's workflow can alternate to best serve your customers and staff. For example, when Field Complete is used by Company A, they assign a Job after updating the Job scope and generating an invoice. Company B can assign a Job prior to creating a Job Scope or Invoice. Both approaches are entirely valid, and each can be accomplished successfully with Field Complete. In fact, multiple variations for your workflow can easily be applied.

Jobs can also be assigned and scheduled from the mobile app. These options are specific to access from a browser.

1. Assign Job as you Create

The immediate way to schedule a Job, is to assign as the Job is being created. (See image below) As you go through the process of creating a job, the last portion of the pop-up screen will allow you to do the following:

  • Assign the Job to technician, group, or sub-contractor

  • Schedule the desired start/end date and time

  • Assign respective branch (if applicable)

2. Assign Job from the Project view

Once a Job is created, a Project is also created by default. (learn more about how Projects operate) As shown in the image below, you will see the Project view, with the newly created Job shown in the Scope tab.

In addition to the Job type, you can easily assign and schedule the Job from this view. Compared to the first option, this manner of scheduling a Job allows options to your workflow.

  • Line items can be added prior to scheduling your Job

  • Job can easily be re-assigned, and/or re-scheduled

3. Assign Job from the Dispatch Page

Once a Job is created, it will immediately be available in the Dispatch page. The Job will be available whether it was assigned and scheduled through either of the first two options.

To schedule a Job is incredibly easy and straight forward. Simply click and hold the Job from the list of Jobs, and drag to the appropriate slot on the schedule. In addition, Jobs can be dragged on the route planner area, providing a powerful tool to organize the route prior to scheduling.
